Ari Honka comes from a strong entrepreneurial background currently focusing financial services. His real passion, the pursuit of New Technology and Innovation, has taken him all around the world, having spend over 20 years outside his native land Finland mainly in the UK and Asia.
His previous new technology ventures covered Player X Ltd. in 2004, a venture capital-backed mobile media company creating and distributing Mobile TV and entertainment content to mobile operators and distribution channels globally. During four years as the cp-founder & board director at Player X, the company grew into a global publisher and distributor in the mobile entertainment industry, having operations in over ten countries and receiving international accolades for fast growth and innovative products. Player X was acquired by Zed group in March, 2009.
Since moving into Asia, Ari has successfully set up two other ventures Condita Outsourcing Ltd. in the BPO sector and 3D Printing Industry Ltd. a global leader as a media company for the 3D printing sector, both of which were acquired by new owners subsequently.
In the past couple of years Ari has been working on financial technology and deploying a new banking ecosystem to the market place. The first segment of this ecosystem is The Small Business Stock Exchange Ltd., which operates like any traditional stock exchange but is aimed at small and medium size businesses. It allows owners to raise funds they could not otherwise access, and investors to put money into fast growth companies they could not otherwise find.
